How to write prompts for an uncensored image model
Without a filter in the way, the quality of the prompt decides the result. This structure works on every model on Ablate.
The five parts
- Subject: who or what, in a few concrete words.
- Setting: where it happens and what is around it.
- Light: time of day and direction. This does the most for realism.
- Style: photograph, oil painting, anime, 3D render.
- Camera or framing: close up, wide shot, overhead.
An example
"a weathered lighthouse keeper on a storm cliff, rain on the lens, hard side light, oil painting, wide shot"
Habits that help
- Be specific rather than long.
- Say what you do not want in plain words if the model supports it.
- Change one thing at a time when you refine.

Questions
Do longer prompts work better?
Only if the extra words add detail. Padding with adjectives usually makes things worse.
