How to choose an uncensored AI image generator
Lists of "the best uncensored AI image generators" are mostly affiliate pages. Here is a better way: a checklist you can apply to any tool, including this one.
Read the terms, not the homepage
We read the written policies of several image APIs. Some that market themselves as unfiltered ban sexually explicit content in their own policy. A homepage claim means little. The terms are what get an account closed.
The checklist
- Do the terms allow adult content between fictional adults, or only stay silent?
- Does it block sexual content of minors and real people? A site that does not is a risk to you.
- Is the price per image shown before you generate?
- Are failed images refunded?
- Can you delete your images?
- Is there an API if you need one?
- Is there a watermark?
Types of tool
- Hosted generators. Easy, pay per image, rules set by the host.
- APIs. For apps and automation.
- Self hosted. Full control, your own GPU, your own legal responsibility. See that comparison.
Where Ablate fits
Ablate is a hosted generator and API: no theme filter, per image pricing shown up front, automatic refunds on failure, deletable images, and the two limits stated plainly. Two things stay blocked on every model: sexual content involving anyone under 18 (including drawn, anime and "fictional" characters), and sexual content of real, identifiable people. Sexual edits of uploaded photos are blocked too, because an upload cannot be checked.
Questions
Which is the single best one?
It depends on whether you want a web page, an API or total control. Use the checklist above rather than a ranking.
